Porting Your Number
Porting your number means transferring it from one company to another.
To port from Century Link or Midco, you’ll need the account number, address, exact name on the account, and phone number.
For Verizon, only local landline numbers can be ported, and you’ll also need a Porting PIN, which you can get by calling Verizon.
Keep your line active until porting is complete. Some carriers might freeze the line, so you may need to contact them to release it.
Residential Lifeline Support
Lifeline Support is a federal program that offers a discount to eligible customers on their monthly telephone or internet service. Eligible customers will get up to $9.25 toward their bill.
